This picturesque town, located in the fertile Valle Nuevo, is surrounded by low hills and plantations. Its typical construction uses stone and cypress roofs, with tree-filled mountains and villages, as well as streams and falls created by the waters coming from the ice melted in the high peaks. Its sweets, cheeses and wools make up a varied selection of typical and highly required products. Every activity reflects the utmost care for ecology; in fact, this area has been declared Ecologic District and Non-nuclear Area in order to preserve its natural resources for future generations.
