PAMPA REGION
Including the provinces of:
BUENOS AIRES / LA PAMPA
Located in the heart of Argentina, this is the area of the Pampa prairie, the richest, most populated and most productive in the country. Due to its privileged location, it links every corner of the country by means of a network of main routes used for commercial and tourist purposes. Unlike other regions, it does not display great landscapes or dramatic views. It is mainly a plain territory without trees, with vast pasture fields, low mountains, creating a sensation of visual monotony, eventually altered by hills of great beauty.
This is a properly regulated high hunting area: hunters from all over the world come here, interested in the excellent pieces that can be obtained, such as deer and wild boar, apart from other minor species which include ducks, vizcachas, armadillos, hares among many others. Its renowned cuisine is the traditional Argentine countryside style, based on cow meat, both grilled and roasted. Its vast geography also offers large beaches, lagoons and rivers, thus turning it into a great tourist site, boasting a variety of choices for every kind of visitor. In the last few years, a new form of tourism, namely Ranches Tourism, has come into being, offering people the chance of sharing rural tasks and enjoying all kinds of attractions and typical sightseeing tours.
