PROVINCE OF ENTRE RIOS

Located in the south of Mesopotamia, this province owes its name to its geographical position, meeting point of two of the most important rivers of this country: Parana river and Uruguay river, which greatly define its inhabitants' lifestyle as well as attract numerous tourists. Therefore, fishing, water sports and swimming resorts are extremely popular all along the area, with a constant expansion of tourist infrastructure.

Its territory is a fertile prairie, with intense cattle and farm production, having cereal and citric crop, together with bovine cattle and poultry as its main products. Its cuisine is varied, as it shares the main features of the neighboring area of La Pampa (with an abundance of typical asados or outdoor barbecues) with its own, such as all kinds of river fish and excellent lamb. Its rural lifestyle is greatly attached to old traditions: horse breaking, skilled horse riders and a profusion of singers with cheerful local repertoires, full of sweet and harmonious music. The construction of the Zarate Brazo Largo path and its underwater tunnel has turned this province into a necessary route for the traffic flow generated by the Mercosur.
