PROVINCE OF CORRIENTES
This province is surrounded by great rivers, such as the Uruguay and Parana, and other minor rivers. Its central part is plain and covered with lagoons and marshlands, with a profusion of local flora and fauna, among which the visitor will find caimans, felines and a great variety of birds. Due to its subtropical climate, winters are warm and pleasant, thus making it an attractive tourist destination all year long.
The dazzling festivity of the Carnival is celebrated in many of its cities and towns. Rice, yerba, citric fruits, tea and different kinds of tobacco are grown here, thus generating a number of related industries.
