Located in the west part of Cordoba city and beside Lake San Roque, this city is the most important tourist center of the province. Through it the visitor may have access to the Valle de Punilla or Punilla Valley and to Traslasierra by means of the Altas Cumbres road, crossing the Pampa de Achala. To the south, the visitor will find the Calamuchita Valley. These are ideal spots for all kinds of activities requiring contact with Nature, especially adventure tourism. Its commercial activity can be found in its downtown streets, filled with stores and fairs where regional tapestries, handicrafts and sweet products can be bought. Its nightlife offers a great variety of restaurants and shows.
